The idea of the ‘ribbon’ allowed us to turn this two storey warehouse, formally a gun factory, into a new home / office / showroom. The ribbon transforms from a balustrade into a set of stairs which in turn becomes a kitchen.
The internal courtyard lets the morning light filter into the bedroom and more importantly brings the outside in.
