For a modest budget Nest Architects transformed a single storey orange brick residence with little natural light into a two storey light filled home.
The new dwelling has a somewhat warehouse feel with an exposed steel structure, its hard edges toned down with the use of colour and texture.
With no opportunity to bring in any northern light, a long roof window captures the different stages of sunlight throughout the day and lets you glimpse the clouds rolling over.
