One of the aims of the art and architecture Nest Architects produces in the studio is to promote spontaneous meetings between different peoples, helping build tolerance and acceptance. In a small way the installation produced as part of the Next Wave Festival (2006) and with help of
Delta Neon, has achieved this.
A waitress at the Waiters Club in Meyers Place opposite the installation remarked, that one night when leaving the restaurant an elderly man walked past her and then stopped. He turned to her and said “I’ve been walking down this lane for 20 years and tonight I look up and see a duck.”
